SSC is a friendly Sports Social Club that resides in the heart of the local Smallfield village. We are always looking for new club members to help grow our local community, come and see what we are about.

Who We Are

Smallfield Sports Club (SSC) is a long and well established club that has provided both football, cricket and a social opportunities to the local community for over +60 years now.

Our founder and Honorary Club Secretary John Hodkinson who served the club for 60 years (Who sadly passed away in 2021) is still very much in the fabric of the club, as we are generally known as “John’s Bar”.

Venue for Hire

With a full stocked and licensed bar, we provide the opportunity for hosting private parties (up to 70 people) so if you have an event (Birthday, anniversary, wake or just want a good all Xmas kness up) this could be the place for you.

SSC is available for hire for private parties and can even host summer garden events for the bigger celebrations.

Football, Cricket, and Darts at SSC

We currently have 5 teams running from U8’s right through to U18s and Smallfield JNR’s FC also hold the FA recognised Football Chartership accreditation.

SSC currently has x2 Adult Football Teams including Smallfield FC and Godstone FC as part of a novel and new collaboration.

SSC has x2 Cricket Teams known as Smallfield Manor CC, they play Saturday afternoons during the summer season.

SSC also has x2 Darts teams who play on Monday nights, and compete in the competitive local Surrey leagues.

Youth Football Teams

Join our youth teams, from U8s to U18s, and grow your skills in a fun, competitive environment.

Adult Football Teams

Play for Smallfield FC or Godstone FC and enjoy football in a dynamic, collaborative league.

Cricket Teams

Be part of Smallfield Manor CC and enjoy summer matches in a welcoming cricket community.

Darts Teams

Join our darts teams for local league competitions and friendly Monday night games.

Words from our Club Chairman - Trevor Joy

As a long standing member of Smallfield Sports Club, I’m very proud to be Chairmen of SSC as I’ve been affiliated to the club as a player, coach, supporter, and held various committee roles over the last 40+ years.

We’re a friendly local members club, and our evolution over the last 4years has seen the club grow both on the sporting front and as a social hub for the local community.

To provide an opportunity for grass roots football is very rewarding, as we’ve seen 1st hand, junior footballers grow to become young adults and play in the senior section, which proves we are still continuing a legacy of over 60+ years.

Our growing social network is also something to be proud of, as the last few years have been very challenging and yet as a club we still move forward, running local events, providing opportunities for charitable & fundraising events.
